With the recent acquisition of OCiX, we have expanded our presence in California with a second SAS 70 Type 2 datacenter.
Our new facility in Southern California offers state-of-the-art security and reliability that SMBs need for their mission-critical applications:
Summer is in full swing and we're firing it up with some great colocation promotions to celebrate our new datacenter with three-year term pricing that will have you smiling all the way to the bank. Our Show & Sell datacenter promotion runs through August 20, 2011, so now is the time to take advantage of this limited-time offer. Contact your TelePacific rep today for details.
Out with SAS 70. In with SSAE 16.
As of June 15, 2011, SSAE 16 is the new standard for reporting on controls at service organizations, replacing SAS 70. TelePacific is transitioning its datacenters to adhere to this evolution of security standards.
TelePacific Arrives in Texas
TelePacific recently announced the acquisition of Texas-based Tel West Network Services Corporation, one of the fastest growing privately held companies in Central Texas, offering high speed internet and other ancillary telecommunications services. While Tel West will continue to operate in Texas under its own name, this marks TelePacific's physical expansion beyond California and Nevada.
This new acquisition, coupled with our recent announcement of the purchase of Telekenex — which includes a nationwide PCI compliant MPLS/OC-192 backbone, cloud-based security services, managed network services and a robust hosted PBX platform — showcases our growing nationwide capabilities and services. Stay tuned for more information about all the exciting news taking place.
Hosted PBX and 'The Cloud'
We have some exciting new services coming onboard in the 3rd quarter of 2011. We’re gearing up to launch Hosted PBX which is a fully hosted and managed Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony solution that is going to change the way you think about your communications system.
This new product will enable you to connect to an off-site managed PBX system, giving you the robust features of an on-site PBX system without a large capital expense. Furthermore, since the PBX system is in the cloud there are no physical boundaries and we can make necessary upgrades to the software and hardware without any interruptions.
With the addition of Hosted PBX, we'll be breaking the shackles associated with premise-based equipment, enabling you to connect multiple offices and locations with our business-grade IP solutions.
So just what is this so-called cloud and what are some of its benefits?
Cloud-based systems such as TelePacific's Hosted PBX refer to systems that are hosted by a service provider and accessed and managed over the Internet. Because there are no hardware or software purchases on your end, you get access to highly advanced features without the technical headache or large capital costs.
Cloud-based systems also eliminate the common problem of technology and hardware obsolescence and the financial drain associated with equipment and software maintenance and updates. They're also fully scalable so you can start with a service and transition up the scale as your business grows.
It's hard to believe that we’re halfway through 2011 already, isn't it? We’ve welcomed summer and hopefully your business is meeting and exceeding the goals you laid out in your 2011 business plan. Everything is coming along swimmingly — or is it? This month is an ideal time to take a look at your businesses projections and performance and make adjustments so you're sitting pretty towards the latter half of the year.
Your business communication tools and services are integral to operations. Conducting a telecom audit is a great way place to start to ensure that you're getting the most bang for your buck and that your needs are being met.
We may be able to help you reduce your telecom costs and improve productivity. We'll work with you to identify your business’ needs and goals and review your current invoices and configuration to see how your current telecom services align with your business’ realities and direction. Armed with that valuable data, we'll benchmark our own services against what you are doing today and see how we can save your business money and increase your productivity with TelePacific.
It's also critical to take a good look at the work your company is involved with or has on the horizon and what communication solutions you'll need to get the job done effectively. You may be setting up a temporary office in the near future or closing out a large project — how will these changes alter your company's telecom needs?
